Project Overview
The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km south of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah Riyadh highway.
Job Summary
In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a projects electrical engineering aspects. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure uniquely complex requirements of a projects electrical engineering aspects are met.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities
* Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
* Participates in the design, development and modification of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
* Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines.
* Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups.
* Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
* Provides technical assistance to other electrical personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards.
* Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Relevant work experience in detailed engineering, preferably in an EPC/EPCMindustry for large industrial plants.
* Knowledge of systems, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline.
* Experience in preparation of specifications, datasheets, calculations, and other design documents for major electrical equipment.
* Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities or process plants is desirable.
* Knowledge of related construction practices and the associated costs.
* Knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the discipline.
* Knowledge of IEC Standards and Saudi Building Code (related to Electrical) is desirable.
