Overview
Raytheon Australia is a trusted capability partner delivering complex, innovative engineering projects for the Australian Defence Force. As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside other Engineering Authorities to liaise with stakeholders, conduct engineering assessments, review and support approval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and provide innovative solutions within cost and schedule constraints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as technical interface between customer, management, and implementation team, conducting systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to meet safety parameters.
2. Engage in System Design activities, including trade studies, to ensure design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product and deliver system design to meet performance requirements.
3. Perform technical risk analysis to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments and risk mitigation actions.
4. Ensure assigned mechanical systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure Raytheon's reputation as a trusted partner in systems integration and mission support solutions.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
6. Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering discipline, with professional development for CPEng recognition with Engineers Australia and RPEQ recognition.
7. Experience in engineering practices such as Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design and Verification & Validation (desirable).
8. Experience representing engineering professional services to internal and external customers.
9. Knowledge of mechanical design and design changes.
10. Practical knowledge of projects, programs or systems relevant to the business, with ability to enhance and apply knowledge in daily work.
11. Experience in product configuration control (desirable).
12. Experience in Military Standard mechanical component/subsystem selection and procurement (desirable).
13. Willingness to travel when required.
14. Eligibility to obtain and maintain NV1 Security clearance.
