Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll work across financial reporting, month‐end, audit, and budgeting processes, while maintaining strong internal controls and contributing to financial systems improvement. What you'll be doing:
* Contributing to month‐end processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting across profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
* Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Supporting key internal controls and cash management processes
* Assisting with financial system processes to support monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
* Managing internal recharge documentation and preparing budget packs
* Preparing and submitting data for BAS and FBT compliance requirements
* Coordinating weekly cash flow forecasts and supporting overall cash management activities
* Providing reporting for capital project governance and assisting in capital project administration
* Assisting with year‐end processes, financial statements, and external audits
* Continuously identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and drive efficiency

We're seeking a proactive, detail‐oriented, and motivated individual who is interested in growing their career. You'll bring a strong technical skillset, a continuous improvement mindset, and a desire to add value to the business. You may be stepping out of professional services or already in industry and ready for a new challenge. We're also open to considering recent graduates who have gained around 12 months' relevant work experience as part of their university degree.
* Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* CPA or CA in progress
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience in financial accounting or external audit, with a foundational understanding of Australian accounting standards, BAS, and reporting requirements
* Experience from an audit background (highly regarded)
* Intermediate Excel skills and comfortable working with large data sets
* Exposure to major ERP systems is an advantage
* High level of accuracy, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
* Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to think methodically and deliver practical solutions
* Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams
* Collaborative, detail‐focused, and motivated to contribute to a high‐performing finance team
