About the Role
The Warehouse Operator, Counter Sales role is a Full‑time position, based in Hendra, QLD. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will join the Gyprock Trade Centre, delivering exceptional customer service and attaining operational excellence within the store and warehouse.
Your hours are Monday to Friday between 5 am and 3 pm.
In This Role You Will
* Provide exceptional customer service for all our customers in store and in the warehouse.
* Stock movements and the maintenance of stock.
* Load trucks with customer orders for distribution and comply with safety requirements.
* Unload inbound orders of stock.
* Serve customers in the warehouse part of the store, for example loading customers' vehicles with a forklift, or manually as required.
* Ensure documentation, labelling and presentation of products is adhered to.
* Carry out warehouse operations including picking orders, inventory counts and general housekeeping.
* Contribute to achievement of store revenue and margin budgets.
What You Bring To The Role
* Forklift licence and proven experience are essential.
* Strong work ethic.
* Ability to approach, connect and confidently interact with customers.
* Eagerness to learn about products and services.
* Computer literacy and/or familiarity with POS systems (highly regarded).
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Confident and well‑presented when dealing with customers.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, busy environment.
* Collaboration with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and deadlines.
