Role description:
Arcadis is looking for Principal/Lead road designers to be part of major D&C Tender Design projects expected during the second half of 2025. The projects involve High Speed Motorways and Major Urban Arterials.
Role accountabilities:
* Manage, plan, resource, and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines.
* Identify, communicate, and collaborate with the team to resolve technical road design issues.
* Ensure the production of accurate, clear, and concise project documents that comply with best practices and quality standards.
* Maintain ongoing communication with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and clients as needed to ensure effective project communication.
* Provide direction and technical guidance to the road design team.
* Assist with developing road design systems for infrastructure projects.
* Coordinate information exchange protocols between delivery partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A passion for impact, innovation, and improving work processes.
* A relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering.
* Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads.
* Experience in delivering major road infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design; NZTA standards are desirable.
* Knowledge of local authority CADD standards (e.g., TfNSW, VICRoads, QLD TMR).
