This is a permanent full-time position based at our Wodonga Site Maintenance Facility in Northeast Victoria.
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for Ron Finemore Transport you will be part of a professional maintenance team responsible for servicing and maintaining our modern fleet of European truck and heavy trailer equipment.
Relocation Support or a sign on bonus will be provided for the right applicant. (T&Cs Apply)
Your responsibilities
* Repairs, service and inspections on engines, transmissions, brakes, diffs electrical and pneumatic systems on truck and trailer equipment
* Diagnostic analysis using supplied diagnostic software and computer equipment.
* Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
* Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians.
* Please note that participation in an on-call roster will be required on a rotating basis.
About You
You are a motivated and reliable mechanic who enjoys working in a fast paced team environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship
* Mechanical trade certificate/qualification or equivalent.
* Own tools
* Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
* Experience with American or European drivelines and advantage.
* Trailer servicing and maintenance experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Driver's license required (Heavy Vehicle licence advantageous)
* Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
* Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
