About The Role
In this role you will work within the Information Management team to ensure information is managed efficiently, securely and with precision, enabling seamless access to information and supporting the delivery of quality services to our community.
Work type: Fixed term contract (6 months) 3 days per week.
Classification: Band 4, $73,796 + super.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify appropriate classifications, retention periods and indexes for mail registration.
* Scan and register inwards mail in accordance with procedures and workflows.
* Conduct quality assessment checks of registered mail and digital image scans to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
* Review inwards mail distribution emanating from the Unit to ensure accuracy is maintained.
* Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance from Council staff in the use and management of the electronic document & records management system (EDRMS).
* Assist with the cataloguing, registration and processing of archival records.
* Process archival records requests from staff.
* Provide assistance to the Archive Officer for proper data capture of new archival records.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have information management qualifications and/or experience with records and information management practices.
Essential Experience
* Experience in the field of information / records management and a sound understanding of related practices including the ability to classify/catalogue, index and register records.
* Experience in working in an EDRMS system.
* A proven ability in prioritising work and meeting strict deadlines.
* The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
* A commitment to the delivery of high-quality customer service.
* The ability to undertake the physical activities involved in information management duties.
* All candidates should display integrity, responsibility, respect for others and the ability to be innovative.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
