We are seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Conveyancer / Licensee to join our growing team in a senior leadership role. This position is ideal for a highly organised professional with strong technical conveyancing expertise, exceptional client service skills, and proven experience managing complex residential and commercial transactions.
About the Role
As the Senior Conveyancer / Licensee, you will oversee conveyancing matters from instruction through to settlement while ensuring full compliance with WA legislative and regulatory requirements. You will provide technical leadership to the team, manage escalated matters, support operational excellence, and play a key role in maintaining high service standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage complex residential and commercial conveyancing files end-to-end
* Review contracts, special conditions, settlement statements, and legal documentation
* Oversee settlements, including electronic settlements via PEXA
* Ensure compliance with all licensing, trust account, and regulatory obligations
* Act as the senior escalation point for complex files and settlement issues
* Mentor and support conveyancers and settlement officers
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, brokers, solicitors, and financial institutions
* Drive workflow efficiency, process improvements, and operational consistency
* Oversee post-settlement requirements, reconciliations, and file finalisation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Current WA Settlement Agent / Conveyancer Licence
* Extensive experience in residential and commercial conveyancing
* Strong knowledge of WA conveyancing legislation and compliance requirements
* Advanced PEXA proficiency
* Leadership, mentoring, or team management experience
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proven ability to manage risk, solve problems, and work under pressure
