Health Records Specialist
About the Role:
This position involves maintaining high-quality health records and providing excellent service to internal departments and external organizations.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in using email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Experience with Web Patient Administration System (webPAS) and/or a Scanned Medical Record is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurate Scanning of Health Records: Ensure that health record documents are accurately scanned and uploaded to the Scanned Health Record System (SHRS).
2. Document Preparation: Prepare and verify documents for scanning to SHRS.
3. Quality Control: Perform quality activities on scanned documents.
4. Anomaly Correction: Correct identified anomalies in SHRS.
5. Enquiries and Support: Respond to telephone, email, and fax enquiries from other departments and external organizations for requests for patient information.
6. Database Management: Update and maintain doctor and practice database.
7. Filing and Culling: Filing and culling of health records.
8. Record Tracking: Maintain health record tracking system for all record movements.

* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
