RECOVERY SUPPORT WORKER PERMANENT PART-TIME TOOWOOMBA Your Next Role! As a Recovery Support Worker, you'll walk alongside people at risk of homelessness, transitioning from acute mental health services, and/or receiving support through community mental health services. Using a recovery-oriented approach, you'll support people to build on their strengths, achieve their goals and aspirations, navigate everyday challenges, and take meaningful steps towards the life they choose. Through practical support, genuine connection, and collaboration with key stakeholders, you'll help create opportunities for greater independence, wellbeing, and community participation while achieving the best possible outcomes for the people you support. No two days are the same, but your role may include: Supporting clients to identify, work towards, and achieve goals outlined in their recovery plans. Assisting with day-to-day tasks and activities that promote independence and wellbeing. Supporting people at risk of homelessness or transitioning from acute mental health services. Building positive, professional relationships with clients, service providers, and community stakeholders. Facilitating access to supports, services, and community connections. Maintaining accurate records, outcome measures, and client documentation. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support positive client outcomes. About You You are someone who believes in people's capacity to recover and live meaningful lives. You bring empathy, resilience, and a genuine desire to support others to achieve their goals, while maintaining professional boundaries and a strengths-based approach. To be successful in this role, you will have: A Degree, Diploma or Certificate in a human services-related field and/or demonstrated experience supporting people experiencing mental illness. The ability to build trusting relationships and engage effectively with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers. A commitment to recovery-oriented practice and supporting people to achieve their goals and aspirations. The ability to work autonomously while managing your time, caseload, outcome measures, and safety planning requirements. Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and a high level of professionalism and integrity. A current driver's licence and access to a registered, roadworthy, and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property insurance). The ability to obtain and maintain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. Willingness and ability to undertake vaccination of preventable diseases in accordance with the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases – Queensland Health Policy Directive.
