The Department of Health seeks a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist for this key leadership position at the WP Holman Clinic, Hobart, Tasmania. The Clinic has 3 Varian linear accelerators, Canon CT simulator, Eclipse planning system and a Gulmay superficial x-ray unit. Radiation Therapy techniques currently in use at the WP Holman Clinic include IGRT, VMAT, DIBH, SBRT & SRT.
The Holman Clinic is part of the Cancer and Blood Services stream at the Royal Hobart Hospital, which provides an integrated radiation therapy, medical oncology and haematological service to Southern Tasmania.
The Role
The Radiation Therapy Clinical Tutor will plan, develop and supervise Radiation Therapy undergraduate and postgraduate trainee education within the WP Holman Clinic, Royal Hobart Hospital and in collaboration with relevant universities and the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).
In consultation with senior clinical staff, identify, plan and implement continuing professional development education, training and activities for Radiation Therapists in the WP Holman Clinic; develop and monitor mentoring programs for Radiation Therapists re‐entering the profession, and provide education and training to other allied health, nursing and medical staff as required.
You will need to
* Coordinate education and clinical practice requirements for radiation therapy students to ensure the needs of students, universities and professional bodies are being met.
* Develop, implement and support continuing professional development for all radiation therapists and other Clinic staff.
* Assist and advise on the implementation of new techniques, protocols and equipment whilst ensuring all staff receive adequate training in their use.

Permanent, full time, day worker (with on call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Fixed term hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
$142,472 to $150,199 per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Radiation Therapists Agreement 2022. A new Radiation Therapists Agreement is pending registration.

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
