Stonemason (Full-time) – Joondalup, WA 6027

Responsibilities
* Review site instructions, technical drawings, and assignment briefs to understand project requirements, materials, and installation methods.
* Work on various construction sites, adapting to different builders, supervisors and project environments.
* Set up and dismantle temporary access systems such as scaffolding following site safety procedures and compliance standards.
* Prepare foundations by applying moisture‐resistant treatments and laying mortar beds to provide a stable base for brick, block or stone installation.
* Carry out masonry placement tasks, laying bricks, blocks or stone units in specified patterns while maintaining consistency with project specifications.
* Ensure structural accuracy by regularly checking alignment, levels and spacing of masonry work.
* Cut, shape and finish masonry materials using hand tools and machinery to achieve required dimensions.
* Clean and finish joints by removing excess mortar, ensuring sections meet quality standards.
* Undertake repair, restoration and maintenance tasks on existing masonry structures as assigned.
* Collaborate with site teams, forepersons and other trades while adhering to workplace health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification.
* At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and site instructions accurately.
* Proficient in using masonry tools and equipment.
* Solid understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and safe construction site practices in Australia.

* Salary: $77,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation
