Position: Payroll Officer – 6‐month part‐time contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Process monthly payroll for approximately 1,000 employees with a high degree of accuracy
* Manage the payroll inbox and respond to employee queries in a timely manner
* Prepare and submit monthly superannuation contributions
* Support payroll tax preparation for review
* Ensure SOX compliance and assist with internal audits
* Work collaboratively with HR and Finance teams to support seamless operations
* Maintain and update employee payroll records
* Conduct leave audits and handle ad‐hoc payroll tasks
* Assist with payroll reporting and special projects
* Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports using Excel
Qualifications
* 3 years' experience in high-volume payroll (preferred but not essential)
* Australian or NZ payroll experience (essential)
* Exposure to global consultancy environments is a plus
* Intermediate Excel skills
* Ability to handle pressure while remaining friendly and professional
* Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving skills
* Excellent written communication and email etiquette
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset
