* $92,829 - $98,877 per annum depending on experience

Are you ready to make a lasting impact on one of Western Australia's most vibrant and rapidly growing communities? The City of Busselton is seeking a proactive and skilled Asset Planning – Project Officer to join our Infrastructure and Environment team in this newly created role.

About the role:

As our Asset Planning – Project Officer, you'll play a key role in preparing and planning infrastructure works across a diverse portfolio including roads, paths, drainage, coastal infrastructure, carparks, bridges, public transport, and the airport.

You'll work closely with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to scope, design, and develop fit-for-purpose projects that align with the City's strategic goals and Project Management Framework.

What you'll be doing:

* Collaborating with Asset Management Officers to analyse asset data and identify priorities.
* Scoping and documenting infrastructure projects with precision and purpose.
* Managing consultants and supporting design investigations and service locations.
* Preparing cost estimates, grant applications, and statutory approvals.
* Contributing to capital works planning and budgeting.
* Providing technical advice and supporting community consultation processes.

What you'll bring to the role:

* A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of municipal engineering and public infrastructure.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong time management.
* Understanding of WHS legislation and local government frameworks.
* A current C Class driver's licence, White Card, and National Police Clearance.
