The Opportunity
At Infinite Aged Care, our Laundry Assistants play a vital role in creating positive daily experiences for our residents. Reporting to the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality laundering service that meets the personal needs of residents while maintaining strict infection control standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment that supports the health and dignity of all residents.
About the Role
In this hands‐on, fast‐paced role, you will:
* Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold all residents' personal clothing in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure the hygiene of all laundered items, including residents' clothes and other washable materials such as curtains, cleaning cloths, and mops.
* Follow all regulatory and care home standards for laundry hygiene, fabric care and infection control.
* Work collaboratively with the team, showing initiative, common sense, and a willingness to help others.
* Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for residents, making every interaction meaningful.
This is a physically active role requiring daily bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing. You must be able to perform these tasks safely to protect yourself, your team, and our residents.
About You
* Previous experience in a laundry, cleaning, or similar support role.
* A warm, friendly and compassionate approach, with a genuine desire to support and engage with our residents.
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly with your team.
* Proactive in supporting residents in dining areas, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard‐free environment.
* A confident problem‐solver who can work independently, take initiative and adapt in a fast‐paced setting.
* Reliable, hardworking, flexible and with good availability to cover a variety of shifts.
