This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position.
At Alternaleaf, our doctors combine evidence-based practice with innovation to support thousands of patients across Australia. We're looking for experienced, reliable and committed Medical Practitioners to join our telehealth team on either a permanent or contractor basis.
The role:
Deliver high-quality telehealth consultations across a diverse patient base
Manage clinical assessments, prescriptions (S4 & S8), and follow-up consults
Embrace digital tools to optimise patient outcomes and service efficiency
Work closely with nurses and doctor support teams to streamline care
Maintain complete documentation and compliance in a digital-first environment
Commit to providing weekly hours to your Alternaleaf patients.
Being able to provide availability consistently in advance.
We’re seeking dependable doctors who thrive in fast-paced, digital-first environments and want to make a lasting impact in an evolving clinical space. This role is not suited to doctors who cannot commit consistant hours to the clinic each week.
You bring:
Unrestricted AHPRA registration (Minimum PGY4)
Experience in emergency, urgent care, high-volume GP, or telehealth settings will be highly regarded
Excellent time management with the ability to confidently manage 10 minute consults (4-6 patients/hour)
Familiarity with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulation, and medico-legal obligations
Strong clinical judgement, with an evidence-based and harm-reduction mindset
Strong documentation/admin skills
Comfortable working with multiple digital platforms and navigating tech efficiently
Punctual, reliable and responsive – you value team collaboration and patient continuity
