Role Overview
Open to all QBE offices nationally. Permanent, full‐time hybrid role (two days in office per week, plus one anchor day set by team leader). Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:45 am – 5:00 pm.
Specialist Claims Officer – responsible for managing large and complex commercial property claims, using technical expertise, customer focus, and resilience to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage an end‐to‐end portfolio of commercial property claims with support from senior leaders.
* Deliver exceptional customer experience through clear, proactive, and empathetic communication across verbal, written, and face‐to‐face interactions.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with brokers, customers, suppliers, and internal partners.
* Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment where no two days are the same.
* Help drive continuous improvement across the broader claims function by applying expertise and insights.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated commercial property claims experience.
* ISR (Industrial Special Risks) experience advantageous but not compulsory.
* Calm, resilient approach with confidence to make sound decisions.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to guide customers and stakeholders through complex situations with clarity and empathy.
* Solid computer skills, willingness to learn new systems, and ability to prioritise effectively.
* Proactive, self‐motivated mindset with passion for delivering excellence and embracing change.
