About the Role
The HMO3 Critical Care Resident 2026 position offers diverse critical care training experiences tailored to individual learning needs. Rotation includes ICU, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine at University Hospital Geelong and Hamilton Hospital, Cardiology, and annual leave/cover terms. Opportunities exist to complete the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) offered by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, a six‐month competency‐based program supervised by an approved EMC Supervisor. The position includes three months at UHG ED under a FACEM and three months at Hamilton Base Hospital, with regular review and discussion of cases.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide safe, high‐quality clinical care in critical care and emergency settings
* Participate in supervised rotations across ICU, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine and other core terms
* Engage in ongoing professional development, education and training activities
* Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team environment
Qualifications
* Registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA
* Minimum PGY3 level clinical experience
* Strong commitment to critical care and emergency medicine training
* Excellent communication, teamwork and professional conduct skills
