Where You'll Be Working

Come and join the Maternity and Gynaecology Service at John Hunter Hospital, where you'll play a vital role supporting women and their families during some of life's most important moments.

You will work closely with the Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) in Maternity and Gynaecology Outpatients, alongside a committed multidisciplinary team. Your administrative expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of the service and the delivery of high-quality, patient‐centred care.

Hours of work: 8:00am – 4:30pm

About The Role

As a Clinical Support Officer (CSO), you will provide timely, accurate and professional administrative and transactional support to the healthcare team within your designated unit.

Working under the direction of the Midwifery Unit Manager, you'll operate with a level of independence, using initiative and sound judgement while applying established work practices and procedures. While broader unit management decisions remain with the MUM, your contribution will be essential to the day‐to‐day functioning and success of the service.

* Rostering and recruitment support
* Equipment coordination
* Accurate data entry and reporting
* Monthly reporting for the Midwifery Unit Manager
* General administrative support to the outpatient service

What You'll Be Doing

Provide timely and accurate administrative transactional services to support the provision of clinical services across the service under the direction of the nursing/midwifery unit manager (N/MUM).
