Position Overview

We're seeking experienced and enthusiastic Staff Development Nurses to join our supportive Wheatbelt team, where clinical expertise and education come together to make a real difference. The role is 2.00 FTE with flexible full‐time or part‐time options, ideal for job share or candidates seeking balance.

Location is negotiable within the Wheatbelt region. Planned regional travel, including occasional overnight stays, is a core component of the role.

Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Nurse Educator, plans, implements and evaluates inter‐professional programs addressing the learning needs of nurses and midwives within the Wheatbelt region, including graduate nurses and midwives. Plans, implements and evaluates the processes that enhance the knowledge and skills of nurses and midwives and students to meet regulatory, quality and safety practice standards with an overarching focus on consumer centred care.

Qualifications

* Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence based nursing care incorporating quality and risk management in the practice setting.
* Clinical teaching and supervisory skills with an understanding of adult learning perspectives and the use of critical reflection.
* Well‐developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills including team leadership and the ability to work effectively with others.
* Computer skills to enable teaching of navigation of online policy access, internal communication and completing online learning resources.
* A current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on delivery of teaching and education services.
* Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C‐A Class driver's licence, with the ability to travel within the region including overnight stays.
