**Operations Manager - Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service (Gungahlin)**
**Full-time | $110k-$120k + Super**
**Are you an experienced operational leader looking for a meaningful role where no two days are the same? Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service (CVES) is seeking an innovative, people-focused Operations Manager to support our busy Gungahlin clinic.**

** The Role**:
This role is ideal for an experienced Operations Manager from industries including, health, community services, education, logistics, or other professional services.
You’ll be working closely with the Hospital Administrator to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, continuous improvement, and a positive team environment. This role includes leadership responsibilities and oversight of key operational processes, resources, and compliance.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Management of day-to-day clinic operations including decision making, budgeting and reporting to ensure an efficient, safe and well-functioning workplace
- Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
- Contribute to strategic planning and business forecasting
- Oversee inventory and equipment management
- Ensure WHS oversight and accurate reporting
- Supervise, coach, and manage direct reports
- Cultivate a team-oriented and professional work culture
**About you**:
- 5+ years’ experience in an operations, facilities, practice or service management role
- Robust background in people leadership, performance management and coaching
- Veterinary or Healthcare experience is highly desirable however not essential.
- Experience improving and documenting processes, systems and workflows
- Strong ability to drive exceptional performance and deliver operational excellence.
- Demonstrated planning, time management and organisational skills, particularly in managing multiple tasks and multidisciplinary issues to achieve business goals and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with colleagues, team members and key stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills.
- Impeccable integrity, ethics, and professionalism along with empathy for others and a love of animals.
- A high level of dependability in all aspects of the job, including the ability to be calm and take accountability for actions.
- Some weekend or after-hours availability (due to the nature of after-hours emergency services)
