ABOUT THE ROLE
Lake Imaging, part of the Integral Diagnostics Group, provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to private hospitals, public hospitals, community‐based clinics and specialty centres. With more than 19 sites of operation in Victoria, we aim to give referrers and patients access to an unparalleled range of expertise, experience, facilities and resources.
We are seeking a Part‐Time Medical Receptionist (0.6) to work at our Warrnambool site. In this role you will be the first point of contact for patients, referrers and community members, delivering the highest standards of service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Represent Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice by meeting and greeting patients at the front desk.
* Answer the telephone and respond to patient enquiries efficiently and sensitively.
* Create patient bookings while maximising appointment slots.
* Inform patients of relevant preparation, cost estimates and requirements to present concession cards.
* Action patient referrals in coordination with the multi‐disciplinary team, including fellow Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
* Previous medical receptionist experience desired but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to demonstrate care, compassion and empathy to patients.
* Excellent time‐management skills for prioritising tasks.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
* Proficient keyboard skills for data entry into the RIS system.
* Competence in EFTPOS and cash handling.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
