St John Bosco College invites applications from experienced and faith-filled leaders for the position of Vice Principal, a newly established role within the College's Executive Leadership Team. The role commences in January 2027.
This is a significant opportunity to shape the next phase of the College's development, with responsibility for leading staff across the College and driving strategic improvement in teaching and learning. Within a vibrant and established K–12 Catholic community, the Vice Principal will play a pivotal role in fostering excellence, strengthening professional culture, and ensuring that every young person is known, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Timeline
Applicants are invited to submit the following:
* A cover letter addressed to the Principal, outlining their interest in the position
* A statement addressing the selection criteria, with a maximum of 200 words for each of the following domains: Catholic Identity, Education, Innovation and Change, Community, Stewardship
The successful applicant will:
* Be a committed Catholic leader who demonstrates active Christian witness and alignment with the Salesian charism
* Demonstrate the ability to lead with moral purpose, fostering a Christ-centred learning environment where all are known, valued and supported
* Demonstrate experience and capacity in senior leadership, with a proven ability to lead and develop staff, build leadership capacity and foster a culture of collaboration
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary teaching and learning, including the use of data and evidence to improve student outcomes
* Demonstrate the capacity to lead whole-school improvement and strategic change in a complex educational environment
* Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a diverse community
* Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and the holistic development of young people
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to Child Safety and the CEWA Child Safe Framework
* Have a minimum of seven years relevant educational experience
* Hold current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
* Hold a current Working with Children Check
* Have completed, or be working towards, Accreditation for Leadership in Catholic Schools
Desired Criteria
* A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. Master's degree in Education or Leadership)
* Experience in a K–12 context or leading across multiple phases of schooling
* Demonstrated experience in leading professional learning and staff development at a whole-school level
* Experience in guiding strategic improvement initiatives and embedding evidence-informed practice
