The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs service offers free, non-judgmental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.

Be the welcoming face of our service and play a vital role in supporting patients, staff, and the community. As Reception and Administration Support, you’ll ensure the reception area is friendly, organised, and productive while handling enquiries with professionalism and care.

In this dynamic role, you’ll manage appointments, room bookings, and patient records, support outpatient services with accurate data entry, and maintain essential resources and office equipment. You’ll assist with staff communications, liaise with hospitals and agencies, and provide clerical support across inpatient and outpatient services. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are key, as you’ll help keep operations running smoothly and ensure patients feel supported from the moment they arrive.

What you will bring to the role

- Proven extensive administrative experience working in a busy front desk Reception role
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to demonstrate excellence in providing a high level of customer service
- Proven ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment with proven capacity to prioritise and multi-task
- Demonstrate intermediate experience in Microsoft Office database system
- Experience in Medicare billing procedures
