In partnership with our host, BOC Gas and Gear, based in Wetherill Park, a leading global gases and engineering company supplying gases and equipment to sectors such as heavy industry and healthcare. BOC is seeking a 2nd Year Mechanical Fitter to join their team.
Whether you are looking to further expand your skills or transition into a new environment, this opportunity will allow you to build on your experience while working towards the successful completion of your MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Fitting / machining) and becoming a fully qualified tradesperson.
Job Details
In this role, you will assist in the safe and efficient operation of equipment under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair BOC equipment on-site
* Service and refurbish vessels and systems
* Provide hands-on support for customer equipment needs
* Carry out audits, inspections, and safety checks
* Install food prep and freezer equipment
* Deliver services across multiple CES markets as needed
* Service both company and customer-owned gas equipment
* Perform gas purges and equipment rebuilds
Hours
* Monday to Friday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
* Overtime: May be required outside standard hours, depending on job requirements

* A Construction White Card
* The ability to follow instructions and work safely

* Willingness to work overtime and travel to various sites
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Full COVID-19 vaccination required for hospital-based work
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, and police check
