About the Role
Administration Officers are responsible for delivering consumer-focused administrative support that ensures equity of access throughout the patient's journey within Surgical Specialist clinics.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional reception and customer service, including greeting patients, managing enquiries, and directing calls appropriately.
* Manage patient administration in iPM, including referrals, bookings, scheduling, waitlists, and accurate data entry.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (GPs, specialists, interpreters, and diagnostic services) to support timely, coordinated patient care.
* Deliver general administrative and telehealth support across clinics, ensuring compliance with policies and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Excellent customer service skills with a professional, positive, and patient-focused approach.
* Competent computer literacy and willingness to learn health technologies and systems.
* Flexible, adaptable team player able to manage varied duties and rostered shifts to meet service needs.
