Responsibilities
During Tender (ITO)
- Analyse & qualify customer specification on the field of responsibility: Site setup, organisation & electromechanical installation works.
- Prepare costing estimates for the same.
- Prepare schedule for these and participate in their integration into the overall project schedule.
- Prepare tender documents.
- Prepare technical and organisational aspects of Request for Quotation (RFQ) for subcontracted works.
- Lead interactions with selected subcontractors on the same topics.
- Actively participate in the tendering teams (planning, HAZID, …).
- Participate in meetings with customers on the field of responsibility.
- Conduct hand‑over from ITO to OTR on the field of responsibility.
- Participate in the management of the M&E; supplier panel (qualification, site visits, …).
During Execution (OTR)
- At the request of site managers, prepare technical and organisational aspects of RFQ for subcontracted works.
- Lead interactions with selected subcontractors on the same topics.
Health and Safety
- Participate in Hazard Identification (HAZID) meetings.
- Review EHS behaviour & organisational aspects during site visits with potential subcontractors.
- Actively participate in defining improvement actions related to EHS in activities.
Quality
- Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and processes.
- Initiate and participate in improvement actions on construction processes, tools, and documents.
Key Performance Indicator
- Provide tender deliverables within the agreed schedule within the tender team.
Qualifications
- Appropriate qualification in Electrical Engineering, with around 5 years of work experience.
- Experience working on the construction of HV substations.
- Positive understanding of related engineering documentation (layout, SLD, cable & termination schedules, BOQ, …).
- Hands‑on knowledge of the application of CDM.
- Appropriate health and safety experience, training and qualifications.
- Knowledge of applicable UK standards and specifications associated with electrical works and best practice in relation to the construction of HV substations.
- Some experience in offshore platforms I&I; works is an plus.
- Office‑based position but will require travelling to subcontractors & project sites across North Europe.
- Ability to integrate with the GE wider team.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, and to accurately and concisely report both verbally and in writing.
- Additional language proficiency in European languages is a plus.
- IT proficiency including information systems, databases and office package.
