Job Description
We're looking for dedicated and motivated Full Time Forklift Operators to join our logistics team on Dayshift or Afternoon Shift working from our Penfield Depot.
Day Shift 6.00am to 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift 2.30pm to 10.30pm
Overtime is available on weekends and public holidays.
Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the positionincludes the following responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, containers and rail wagons
* Sorting, labelling and checking freight against customer delivery paperwork
* Restraining loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
* Handling both general and non-standard freight
* Counterbalance and Twin Tyne forklift operation
* Palletise and pack loads as required
* Lifting and dunnage duties
* Perform stocktaking and checking of freight
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must:
* Hold a current LF High Risk Work licence
* Have experience operating a forklift in a transport environment and moving freight safely, following load restraint and COR procedures
* Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility
* Be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Be flexible with start and finish times
* Have a strong safety focus
Possess a passion for providing a high-level of service with a positive attitude and work collaboratively within a team.
Additional Requirements
* The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.
