Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Solid Plasterer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solid plastering, with the ability to perform a wide range of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting architectural & engineering drawings to ensure the finish of formed surfaces match the required specifications;
Analysing and determining plasterboard layout, including the installation of insulation and vapor barriers;
Measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard to precise specifications;
Lifting and positioning plasterboard panels accurately, securing them to walls, ceilings and battens;
Preparing and affixing corner beads securing them in place;
Installing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings;
Concealing joints and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, achieving a smooth finish using wet brushes and sandpaper;
Mixing and applying layers of plaster, cement, and render to structures using trowels, ensuring uniformity of thickness;
Plumbing and straightening corners, angles, and surfaces of walls and ceilings;
Crafting decorative textures in finishing coats for aesthetic appeal;
Applying and refining acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement, and similar substances.
