ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Feeding & Milling Hand at the Pinegrove Feedlot, you will play a key role in the successful operation of the feedmill and the delivery of quality rations to livestock. The key responsible are:
* Obtaining regular flake samples to ensure quality metrics align with nutritional standards;
* Undertaking general repairs and maintenance to milling infrastructure (greasing, hanger bearing and minor maintenance repairs);
* Undertaking ration sample collection and data entry
* Feed truck operation and ancillary supporting equipment;
* Loader operation for batching and commodity operations;
* Heavy equipment operator (hay processing).
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will bring
* Experience operating heavy machinery (Loaders, Trucks, hay processing etc.
* Demonstrated skill, ability and experience in batching accuracy, liquid storages and dispensing, feed accuracy and consistency
* A focus on working safely
* An ability to work cooperatively with a team
* Demonstrated effective verbal and two way communication
