About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child Development Unit team as Senior Social Worker and Clinical Coordinator, where you will be responsible for:
* Leading advanced clinical social work assessments and interventions for infants, children, and adolescents with complex neurodevelopmental differences within a multidisciplinary Child Development Unit.
* Coordinating and managing the Child Development Unit adolescent service (known as ANDAS), ensuring culturally appropriate, equitable, and integrated care for neurodiverse families.
* Providing supervision, mentorship, and consultation as required to staff within CDU and to external enquiries from consumers.
* Driving quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and service development in collaboration with management and stakeholders to optimize outcomes.
* Advocating for families, supporting navigation of health and disability systems, while promoting consumer engagement and culturally sensitive practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Degree or equivalent in Social Work with full membership eligibility in the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Advanced clinical judgement, patient-centered evidence-based practice, and leadership within social work and multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build trust and interact sensitively and ethically with patients, families, staff, and community agencies.
* Substantial recent senior-level clinical social work experience managing complex caseloads, providing clinical supervision, and working within multidisciplinary teams.
* Extensive clinical knowledge in social work specialty, child development, community resources, relevant legal/statutory requirements, and allied health roles
* Demonstrated dedication to EEO, ethical conduct, diversity, safety, quality management, risk management, and continuous professional development.
