* Drive enterprise data governance for Financial Crime, ensuring integrity, lineage, ownership and quality of critical risk and control data to support decision making and regulatory obligations.
* Set the strategic direction for Financial Crime governance, capability and culture, including leading a high‐performing team and influencing senior stakeholders on interpretation and implementation of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
About You
* Extensive Financial Crime, Compliance and Non‐Financial Risk experience within banking or financial services with deep expertise across AML/CTF, KYC, Sanctions and Fraud in multi‐jurisdictional environments.
* Broad and demonstrable experience across Compliance and Non‐Financial Risk, including governance, assurance, regulatory engagement and risk management frameworks.
* The ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, anchoring your approach in ANZ's values. This includes a reputation for coaching, encouraging curiosity and investing in people development.
* Strong understanding of the banking operating environment, including business strategy, market dynamics and key drivers of the risk/reward relationship.
* Proven ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external networks, enabling collaboration across senior stakeholders, regulators and industry forums.
* Demonstrated experience influencing, negotiating and providing strategic guidance to senior leaders on complex regulatory and compliance matters.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex Financial Crime and risk insights into clear, actionable reporting for Board and Executive audiences.
* Proven leadership capability with deep interpersonal skills, including building, leading and developing high‐performing teams and fostering a strong compliance and risk culture.
