Part-time (0.8 FTE) | Adelaide-based, working from a host member's office | On-site presence at events
Are you the person who makes things actually happen? Who turns a calendar of good intentions into a year of events people rave about, and makes every member feel like the chapter was built for them? EO Adelaide is looking for a Chapter Manager to be the operational engine behind one of the city's most dynamic communities of founders.
About EO Adelaide
Entrepreneurs' Organisation is a global network of business owners who lead impactful companies and share one mission: helping each other reach their full potential. EO Adelaide is our local chapter, a community of founders who come together to learn, connect, and grow. We're on an ambitious growth path, and this role is central to getting us there. We live by four values: Trust and Respect, Thirst for Learning, Think Big and Be Bold, and Together We Grow.
What you'll do
You'll own the member experience end‐to‐end, so members feel looked after from first enquiry through every event and renewal. You'll support the operational delivery of our EO Forums, including scheduling and logistics. You'll plan and deliver our calendar of events with the detail and polish that makes them effortless to attend. You'll run our social media and LinkedIn presence, profiling members, events, and partners in a way that builds the chapter's voice in Adelaide's business community. You'll support our Strategic Alliance Partners on the operational side, making sure their experience matches their investment. You'll manage the chapter's day‐to‐day bookkeeping, including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and budget tracking. And you'll run the operational backbone: CRM, communications, scheduling, and liaison with our board, suppliers, and the global EO network.
What success looks like
Strong member retention, consistently high‐quality events, reliable operational follow‐through, and a chapter that runs smoothly enough for our volunteer leaders to focus on strategy and growth.
What you'll bring (essential)
* A genuine background in event management, with the detail and polish to make events seamless
* Excellent people manner and a natural service mindset: proactive, warm, and responsive
* Assertiveness and strong boundary management, the confidence to hold the line and protect the chapter's operations from scope creep
* Capability to run a consistent professional social media presence, with particular strength in LinkedIn content
* Sound financial literacy: comfortable with invoicing, reconciliations, budget tracking, and accounting software (e.g. Xero)
* Exceptional attention to detail and follow‐through
* Confidence with CRM, Microsoft 365, and comms tools, or the ability to pick them up fast
* Alignment with EO's values and a love of working alongside ambitious people
Nice to have
* Experience in a not‐for‐profit, member‐based, or community organisation
* Familiarity with the Adelaide business or startup ecosystem
* Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools
* Experience with event ticketing platforms (Humanitix, Eventbrite)
* Exposure to governance and incorporated association obligations
What we offer
* A professional base: you'll work from the office of one of our EO members under a formal hosting arrangement, with flexibility and genuine autonomy
* Salary: $80,000‐100,000 FTE plus superannuation, pro‐rata to $64,000‐80,000 at 0.8. Approved travel reimbursed
* A real onboarding: your first 90 days are structured around working closely with the Chapter President, with direct access to peer support from EO Chapter Managers across Australia and New Zealand, and EO's global tools and resources. You'll never start from scratch
* Remarkable people: direct access to Adelaide's leading entrepreneurs and the global EO network
* Real impact: you'll shape the growth of a community that genuinely changes how its members lead
The practical bits
You'll need a current driver's licence and your own vehicle, and you'll be available for evening and occasional weekend events. Some interstate and international travel for EO events applies, with expenses covered.
