A relaxed, banter driven team, that are highly skilled in geriatric, brachycephalic and diabetic fasting procedures and anaesthetics. We all like to have a laugh and generally enjoy music during surgeries. Servicing referrals from Far North Queensland to the Gold Coast.The RoleDiagnose and manage ocular diseases, disorders, and trauma, including surgical procedures (e.g. ulcer treatment including corneal autologous grafting procedures, complex lid surgeries and cataract surgery (phaco-emulsification)Provide education and guidance to pet owners for the benefit of their petLiaise with referring vets by giving verbal opinion, backed up with written advice on cases they request an opinion onMaintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with clinic protocols and standardsStay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary ophthalmology and incorporate them into your practiceMaintain practice morale with daily jokes & witty commentsDVM/VMD or equivalent degreePost-graduate qualifications or pre-registration Registrar in Veterinary Ophthalmolology, whilst highly desirable, isn’t a necessityStrong diagnostic and surgical skills or the ability to learn and applyExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a teamPassion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their ownersThe PackagePotential to partner in the company should the candidate be successful
