Description
Lithgow City Council invites a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their team in Lithgow, NSW. The successful candidate will report to the Works Coordinator – Buildings and be responsible for providing efficient, effective and professional installation and maintenance of electrical fixtures, fittings, service cabling and related elements for Council‐managed assets.
* Carry out electrical works of maintenance, improvement or construction nature within Council buildings, cooperating with other trades to complete multi‐trade projects.
* Undertake repair and maintenance of electrical installations and systems associated with Council Water and Sewage Operations, including specialist Pump Station repairs, Telemetry control systems, plan/diagrammatic interpretation and Pump Station operations.
* Carry out electrical tagging of Council electrical appliances and equipment.
* Liaise with other sections of Council and the public on matters related to electrical works.
* Be available for emergency or breakdown work outside normal working hours.

Qualifications
* Recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
* Current qualified Electrician's Licence
* Current WHS General Induction for Construction Training Certificate
* Minimum of three years post‐trade experience
* Sound knowledge of WHS and Risk Management requirements
* Class C Driver's Licence
* Comprehensive working knowledge of statutory and legal requirements relating to the electrical industry
* Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity
* Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
An ideal candidate would also possess an elevated work platform ticket, scaffolding ticket and Safe Working at Heights ticket.
Salary and Benefits
* Between $1,176.78 and $1,301.14 per week, commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
* Permanent, full‐time, 38 hours per week.
