Head of Finance – Job Description
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the ATOM Leadership Team as our Head of Finance. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for providing strategic financial direction, commercial insight, and governance across all aspects of the business. Working closely with Senior leadership and the Board, you will shape business strategy, drive performance, and support sustainable growth. You will lead the finance function with a strong focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and commercial partnership.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing strategic financial leadership and contributing to the development and execution of business strategy, objectives, and performance outcomes
* Identifying and driving strategic business and growth opportunities
* Strengthening financial governance, risk management, and internal controls across ATOM
* Delivering commercial and financial support to business unit leaders to enable informed decision making
* Leading and implementing process, systems, and capability improvements across finance, procurement, and internal controls
* Coaching, mentoring, and leading a high‐performing team comprising two Finance Managers and one Procurement Manager, with three additional indirect reports
You are a commercially minded finance leader with proven experience operating in a similar role within a complex business environment. You bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership capability, and a collaborative approach to partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting, with CA or CPA accreditation
* Demonstrated experience providing strategic financial leadership and commercial insight
* Strong governance, risk management, and internal control expertise
* A track record of driving business improvement initiatives, including systems and process transformation
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across operations, corporate functions, customers, leadership, and the Board
* A passion for leading teams, developing capability, and delivering operational excellence
