About the Role Our client is a young, fast-growing civil and electrical construction company based in Kurnell, Sydney NSW. As they move into their next stage of expansion, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Estimator to support their tendering and pre-construction operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing organisation and play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial performance of their future projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for: High-voltage power cable installations Substations and electrical infrastructure Civil construction works including earthworks, concrete, trenching, and drainage Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Conduct quantity take-offs and develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) Analyse labour, plant, material, and subcontractor costs Source, assess, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes Identify project risks and prepare contingency allowances Assist in developing tender submissions and pricing strategies Maintain and update company estimating databases and costing models Participate in post-tender reviews and support handover processes Key Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Civil Estimator within the infrastructure or construction sectors Prior exposure to high-voltage electrical works and substations (highly desirable) Strong capability in reading and interpreting technical drawings Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tenders independently while meeting deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to add value to the estimating function Benefits Opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company entering an exciting growth phase Work across diverse civil and electrical infrastructure projects Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment Genuine opportunities for long-term career development About Us Need Recruitment support?
