We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a privately owned business based in Canning Vale. The Production Manager will lead a team of eight full-time staff consisting of assemblers, second-class welders, and CNC machine operators. The successful candidate will enjoy being hands‐on while ensuring production is delivered on time, in full, and to specification. With a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and growth, this role will play a pivotal part in driving continuous improvement, developing team capability, and ensuring safe and effective production operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the production team to manufacture and dispatch orders on time, in full, and to specification.
* Collaborate with projects and operations to determine production priorities and schedules.
* Allocate resources to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Drive quality processes and investigate root cause of production issues.
* Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct toolbox meetings and promote a strong safety‐first culture.
* Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve capability and performance.
Key Requirements
* Previous experience leading a manufacturing or production team.
* Hands‐on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
* Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
* Trade, engineering, or business qualifications highly regarded but not essential.
* CNC or multi‐process manufacturing experience advantageous.
