The Role & The Team
Airservices Australia is a government‐owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11% of the world's airspace and provision of aviation rescue firefighting services at Australia's busiest airports. Our dynamic and diverse teams operate across the country, from bustling cities to regional and remote locations, including an island.
We are seeking previously trained and rated Air Traffic Controllers who hold Australian Citizenship, New Zealand Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency. Responsibilities
* Operate air traffic control functions to maintain safety and efficiency of airspace.
* Collaborate with diverse teams and customers to adapt services for new and diverse aviation participants.
* Support the safe and efficient management of airspace and aviation rescue firefighting services.
The Person
Qualifications.
* Hold a current rating and endorsement in an Air Traffic Control environment.
* Possess ICAO level 6 English language proficiency.
* Minimum 3 years of operational experience (preferred).
* Provide certified documentation and referees to support the application.
* Hold or be able to obtain a Class 3 Medical Certificate.
Medical Standards
Licensing as an Air Traffic Controller (ATC) requires attainment of a Class3 Medical Certificate in accordance with medical standards specified by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Any individual who is unable to meet the prescribed medical standards for Air Traffic Controllers will be ineligible to be issued with an ATC licence by CASA, and hence, will automatically be ineligible for ATC training and/or employment with Airservices Australia.
Police Records Check
Airservices Australia recruitment policy requires that any individual being considered for appointment to the organisation undergo a "Police Records Check" to identify any past convictions or present or pending criminal charges. Any offer of training and subsequent employment is contingent upon a successful check.
Security Clearance
To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident as required for this role.
