Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
* Provide clinical care in inpatient, day-therapy and community settings, including ECT services where required, with a focus on promoting recovery and improving outcomes.
* Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care that is responsive to the evolving needs of patients and families.
* Engage with families, carers and external agencies to coordinate care and promote recovery, through effective communication and collaboration.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with relevant policies and standards, ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of practice.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development, driving innovation and excellence in mental health care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Advanced degree in Psychiatry or related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
* Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, policies and standards, with ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
* Ability to think critically and creatively, with a focus on driving innovation and excellence in mental health care.
