The Opportunity
Are you looking for a Maintenance Engineer position within a multinational logistics organisation that is genuinely collaborative and provides opportunity to develop and grow your career?
This position will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs of the warehouse automations systems onsite. This position will also be responsible for the maintenance, breakdown repairs and/or co-ordination of third-party suppliers for all electrical and mechanical site systems.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Monitor and troubleshoot automation system and equipment
Liaise with Operations and Maintenance teams to maintain system uptime and productivity
Monitoring and optimizing the operation to increase the efficiency of the system.
Collaborate with Maintenance teams to oversee critical and preventative maintenance
Carry out system tests and diagnostics, report, and manage issues across operational systems
Ensure system operations can meet daily workload
Routine inspection of equipment, checking externally and provide documented reports of system condition
Basic data entry and administrative tasks
Upholding EHS standards whilst looking for process improvements
Managing Conveyor Multi Controllers, Cognex Scanners, Siemens safety systems, and VFD motors.
Interpreting AutoCAD drawing for fault finding in the system.
Monitoring PLC hardware and identifying errors in the PLC program
Follow the Australian Safety protocols across the site and conduct regular inspections of site safety systems
Desired Skills and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic engineering or related discipline
At least 3 years of relevant experience in automated logistics or manufacturing operation;
Understanding of automated systems and operations and SOPs
Understanding of all warehouse operations and SOPs
Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written (professional phone manner)
Balancing manual, warehouse tasks with administrative, office-based duties
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Performing well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency with AutoCAD and associated PLC programming and operating tools
