Project Manager Opportunity in Geelong
Our Civil Engineering team is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to drive success in this role. A well-established local network and solid relationships within the area will be key to delivering projects on iconic sites while advancing your career in a supportive environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your connections and make a meaningful impact on VIC projects in land development, subdivision, commercial buildings, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in land development and civil project management, proven experience leading teams of engineers and technicians, and solid financial and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support projects across the entire life cycle, including design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling, and risk management.
* Lead project delivery by providing management skills to ensure end products meet client and stakeholder expectations.
* Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts, and reviewing executed contracts to verify timeframes, milestones, procedures, and budgets to achieve project outcomes.
* Establish project plans (where required) including resourcing, finance, risk, and quality in conjunction with the technical team, project Technical Leads/Project Engineers, Project Support personnel, and Project Accounting to ensure all aspects of the project are planned prior to project execution.
* Perform on technically complex projects and may act as a technical resource to other team members.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project management, Construction management or relevant technical qualification is desirable.
* Ideally you should have 7 years of experience.
* Previous civil project management experience working in civil projects including stormwater/roads, land development, and councils.
* Previous success in delivering large projects; undertaking day-to-day project coordination, development, and execution of projects plans and programming.
* Ability to deliver and manage stakeholders in a complex environment, be accountable for client satisfaction by supporting the project team.
* Experience in project programming and critical path analysis by implementing strategies which address program, delivery, design risks, and ensure the most appropriate standards and requirements are developed and implemented.
* Commercial acumen in managing resources and budgets.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven experience in time management and organisational skills including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
