About the Role
The Audit Manager will lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse client base at the RSM Adelaide office, ensuring the delivery of high quality audit services in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues.
* Perform reviews of audit work and financial statements, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
* Prepare reports and opinions for clients, summarising key areas of the engagement for the partner.
* Ensure completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines.
* Conduct multiple audit engagements simultaneously with various engagement team members.
* Negotiate fees with partners and demonstrate commercial responsibility for profitability of each client.
* Contribute to meetings and make effective presentations to staff and clients.
* Assist in management and coordination of the audit team, including training, mentoring and methodology compliance.
* Monitor staffing requirements and future resource planning issues.
* Assist partners in business development and marketing activities.
About You
* 5-7 years of audit experience.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and prioritising skills.
* Problem solving and decision making skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Detailed working knowledge and application of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation.
