The ideal candidate will have a strong background in livestock production, animal husbandry, pasture management, and machinery operation.
This role requires hands-on involvement in daily operations as well as long-term planning to ensure a healthy herd, sustainable land use, and profitable farm performance.
Key Responsibilities Manage herd health, breeding, calving, and weaning programs.
Oversee feeding, grazing rotations, and pasture management.
Develop and operate irrigation systems to support fodder (or other crop) production.
Maintain farm infrastructure, machinery, and water systems.
Lead and supervise staff, ensuring a protected and productive workplace.
Monitor budgets, records, and compliance requirements.
About You Proven experience in beef cattle production and farm management.
Strong knowledge of livestock health, nutrition, and genetics.
Practical skills in irrigation, pasture improvement, and machinery operation.
Leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
Commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming.
