Your new role: As a HVAC Tradesperson, you’ll maintain and repair hospital infrastructure that supports patient care. You will be based at Logan and/or Beaudesert Hospitals, part of a skilled team ensuring Metro South Health facilities remain protected, efficient and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Performing planned and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, plant and equipment.
- Installing, repairing and maintaining mechanical systems across hospital sites.
- Investigating and resolving technical issues effectively and safely.
- Managing costs, materials, contractors and schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to minimise disruption to hospital operations.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, procurement and legislative requirements.
About You / Qualifications
- A Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification).
- Current Restricted Electrical Licence, Arctick Licence and White Card.
- Proven experience maintaining and servicing large‑scale mechanical/HVAC systems.
- Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards and safety legislation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within a multidisciplinary environment.
- The ability to plan and prioritise tasks, manage contractors and deliver quality outcomes independently.
- A current C class driver's licence and willingness to work across multiple Metro South Health sites.
