As the Clinical Midwife Manager, you will manage the services, operations, and resources of the Maternity Unit, ensuring we meet both WACHS requirements and the diverse needs of the regional population. You will provide clinical leadership, oversee standards of midwifery and neonatal nursing practice, and ensure the provision of safe, effective, and efficient client care.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who possesses the following qualities:
* Demonstrated experience in managing Maternal and Newborn Services, including financial and clinical resource management.
* Proven ability to drive complex change management processes and lead a team effectively.
* Highly developed verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and evaluation skills to facilitate innovative solutions to sensitive challenges.
* Familiarity with contemporary quality and risk management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team within the Maternity and Assessment Unit, Birth Suite, Special Care Nursery, and Antenatal Clinic.
* Develop and implement operational plans to utilise human, financial, and physical resources effectively, in line with regional priorities.
* Provide advanced patient care, management, expert consultancy, and support both within and beyond the hospital setting.
* Foster a culturally sensitive environment that supports Aboriginal and other culturally diverse backgrounds.
* Initiate quality improvement, risk management, and change management strategies to enhance services.
* Oversee staffing, rosters, and the recruitment and orientation of new staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
