This fixedterm role will play a critical part in supporting ecological, cultural and community recovery following theJanuary **** Longwood Fires, with a strong focus on riparian, wetland and waterway protection, Traditional Owner partnership, and landholder engagement.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

* Lead the planning, delivery and reporting of riverhealth related fire recovery projects, including riparian restoration, erosion control, weed management and ecological recovery works.
* Translate strategic recovery priorities into practical, staged onground actions that recognise the longterm nature of fire recovery.
* Work in close partnership withTaungurung Land and Waters Council (TLaWC)to support Countrycentred healing and codesign recovery actions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with landholders, Traditional Owners, community groups, Landcare, local government and State agencies.
* Coordinate contractors, consultants and delivery partners to ensure highquality, protected and compliant project delivery.
* Provide technical advice on waterway health, fire impacts and recovery priorities.
* Manage project budgets, procurement, reporting and funding requirements.
* Represent GB CMA in community forums, working groups and interagency recovery processes.

You will report to theRiver Health Project Managerand work collaboratively across GB CMA teams and partners to deliver integrated, tenureblind recovery outcomes.

About You

* You are an experienced natural resource management professional with strong project management capabilities and a genuine commitment to supporting the healing of Country and community following fire impacts.
* You bring a respectful, collaborative and empathetic approach to working with Traditional Owners, landholders, community groups, Landcare, local government and State agencies, combined with sound technical knowledge in river and riparian health.
* You are organised, adaptable and comfortable working in complex, highpressure recovery environments.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Experience in natural resource management and fire recovery
* Demonstrated experience coordinating river health, postfire recovery or natural resource management projects, including onground works such as riparian restoration, erosion control, weed management and ecological recovery, with an understanding of the longterm nature of fire impacts.
* Solid stakeholder and community engagement skills
* Proven ability to work effectively with landholders, community groups, Landcare, Traditional Owners, local government and State agencies to plan and deliver collaborative, tenureblind recovery outcomes.
* Capability to work respectfully with Traditional Owners
* Demonstrated understanding of Countrycentred approaches, cultural values, cultural landscapes and Traditional Owner selfdetermination, with experience codesigning or delivering projects with Traditional Owner organisations.
* Technical knowledge relevant to waterway and fire recovery
* Knowledge of waterway management, riparian ecology, fire impacts, restoration techniques, recovery sequencing and the cultural dimensions of landscape recovery, with the ability to provide sound technical advice.
* Project management and administrative competency
* Experience delivering complex environmental projects, including procurement, budgeting, contractor management, reporting, and meeting funding, regulatory and cultural heritage requirements.
* Strong communication, organisation and problemsolving skills
* Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute effectively within a team.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Essential:
o Tertiary qualification in natural resource management, environmental science, ecology or a related field.
o Demonstrated experience in river health, riparian management or catchment restoration.
o Experience delivering onground projects involving private landholders and contractors.
o Knowledge of fire recovery processes and emergency management frameworks.
o Strong project management, budgeting and reporting skills.
o Current Victorian driver's licence.
* Desirable:
o Experience working in government or statutory authorities.
o Experience with GIS or spatial analysis.
o Understanding of Traditional Owner engagement and cultural values in waterways.
