We are seeking an experienced and hands‐on Workshop / Fabrication Supervisor to lead our fabrication workshop and yard operations in Port Hedland. This is a key leadership role where you will drive daily workshop execution, maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, and play a critical part in delivering successful projects for our clients in the resources and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities – Leadership & Operations
* Lead and supervise workshop fabrication teams, tradespeople, leading hands, and apprentices
* Organise, plan, and track workshop schedules to ensure timely project delivery
* Manage day‐to‐day operations of the fabrication workshops and yard
* Oversee job cost control, conduct weekly WIP reviews, and support estimators with procurement
* Work closely with the estimating team to deliver timely and accurate client quotations
* Attend job kick‐off meetings for medium to major projects
* Track and achieve production targets while maintaining high quality standards
* Manage design aspects of projects in collaboration with draftsmen and engineers
* Review client requirements and drawings to ensure all QA deliverables are met
* Ensure full compliance with OH&S legislation and company safety procedures
* Proactively identify, address, and report unsafe behaviours
* Work closely with the HSE Advisor to drive a strong safety culture
* Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training
* Conduct quality inspections and support the QA/QC Officer
* Ensure all fabricated deliverables meet client specifications, codes, and standards
* Assist in developing project‐specific Quality Management Plans
* Drive completion of quality documentation (ITPs, Work Packs, MDRs, Inspection Checklists, etc.)
* Create and manage non‐conformance reports where required
About You
* Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor, or similar leadership role in a workshop environment
* Strong background in structural steel, mechanical fabrication, or heavy industrial manufacturing
* Strong understanding of engineering, drafting, design
* Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
* Solid understanding of workshop processes, scheduling, and cost control
* Good working knowledge of quality management systems and documentation
* Sound understanding of Australian OH&S legislation and standards
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III Fabrication, Boilermaking, or equivalent) highly regarded
* Mechanical Engineering or similar (Preferred)
* Current WA Driver's Licence (essential)
