Grow friendship, one visit at a time. Community Social Volunteer - Edgeworth
Grow friendship, one visit at a time.
Do you love spending time outdoors, getting your hands a little dirty, and sharing a laugh or two? We’re looking for a kind and friendly volunteer to bring joy, companionship, and a little gardening help to an older lady in Edgeworth.
She adores gardening, but can no longer tend to her beloved plants on her own. Alongside helping with light gardening, she would love weekly or fortnightly visits to enjoy a cuppa, a chat, or a small outing. She also has a passion for musical theatre, cooking, painting, and good conversation so there’s always a story to share or a laugh to be had!
This is a wonderful chance to brighten someone’s day, share your love of nature, and make a real difference in the life of a lovely, creative, and kind‑hearted lady. Your time, companionship, and a little green‑thumb magic can bring sunshine to her week and maybe to yours too.
Location: Edgeworth
Time commitment: 1 hour per week (flexible)
Impact: Deep, personal, and lasting
One hour a week can make a real difference.
If this sounds like you or someone you know we’d love to hear from you!
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
