The Opportunity
Become a part of our dynamic Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.
This role presents a unique opportunity to join a highly professional team whilst working on advanced military airlift capabilities such as the prestigious C‐17A Globemaster, in support of the Royal Australian Air Force.

Responsibilities
As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you and your team will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing and troubleshooting of C‐17A aircraft systems, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and mentoring subordinate technicians.
Experience / Qualifications – Essential
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
* Demonstrate an understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations.
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen to be able to possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
* Hold a C class driver's licence.
* Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
Experience / Qualifications – Desirable
* Previous experience working with military aircraft.
* Hold CASA or DASA maintenance licence or the ability to obtain.
* Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of environmental, health and safety procedures.
* Have a working knowledge of computer‐based maintenance management systems.
Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance Negative Vetting 1 sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for your whole life.
